يسر مهرجان الجونة السينمائي أن يعلن عن قبول طلبات تسجيل الأفلام في دورته السابعة. وتُفتح نافذة التقديم بداية من 15 أبريل/نيسان 2024 وتُغلق في في 15 يوليو/تموز 2024.
ستتنافس الأفلام المختارة على جوائز نجمة الجونة وجوائز نقدية إجماليها 234 ألف دولار أمريكي عبر مسابقات المهرجان للأفلام الروائية الطويلة والوثائقية الطويلة والأفلام القصيرة. ستتاح الفرصة للأفلام ذات الموضوع الإنساني للتنافس على جائزة سينما من أجل الإنسانية والتي تُمنح بتصويت الجمهور، كما يستمر المهرجان في منح جائزة نجمة الجونة الخضراء لأحد الأفلام التي تتناول القضايا البيئية.
وعلقت ماريان خوري، المديرة الفنية لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي: "عدد الطلبات التي نتلقاها يتصاعد باطراد، من أقل من 400 مشاركة في عام 2017 إلى أكثر من 1400 في عام 2023. لم تصل الكثير من هذه الأفلام إلى القائمة النهاية فقط، بل حصل بعضها أيضًا على جوائز المهرجان، مما يمثل شهادة على الأهمية المتزايدة لهذه الطلبات في إثراء رحلتنا السينمائية".
وتأكيدا على رؤية المهرجان ورسالته، قال عمرو منسي، المدير التنفيذي لمهرجان الجونة السينمائي: "ينصب تركيزنا على تسليط الضوء على الأعمال المبتكرة والكشف عن المواهب الجديدة في الصناعة. منذ البداية، كان هدفنا هو تقديم تجربة سينمائية تدفع الإبداع والتنوع واستكشاف أصوات جديدة في مجال صناعة الأفلام. علاوة على ذلك، يمتد التزامنا إلى تعزيز الروابط بين المهنيين من الصناعات المحلية والإقليمية والدولية، وإثراء التجربة الجماعية لضيوف المهرجان".
على مدى السنوات الماضية، عزز مهرجان الجونة السينمائي مكانته كمنارة للتميز الفني في المنطقة، وحصل على دعم متزايد من المجتمع السينمائي والمتخصصين في هذا المجال في جميع أنحاء العالم. يستمر المهرجان في جذب عدد متزايد من الطلبات، والتي تساهم في النسيج السينمائي الفريد للمهرجان وتوسيع تأثيره، إلى جانب مختارات من المهرجانات الدولية والكيانات الصناعية. الدورة السابعة من المقرر عقدها في الفترة من 24 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول إلى 1 نوفمبر/تشرين الثاني 2024، في مدينة الجونة.

EL GOUNA FILM FESTIVAL OPENS FILM SUBMISSIONS FOR ITS 7TH EDITION.
El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) is thrilled to announce that it is now accepting film submissions for its 7th edition (October 24 - November 1, 2024). The submission window opens on April 15, 2024, and closes on July 15, 2024.
Renowned not only for its scenic beauty but also for its unwavering support for the arts and innovation, El Gouna stands as an ideal backdrop for celebrating cinematic excellence.
Selected films will vie for the El Gouna Star awards and a total cash prize of US $234,000 across the festival’s Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, or Short Film Competition. Films with a humanitarian theme will have the opportunity to compete for the Cinema for Humanity Audience Award, while those addressing environmental issues can contend for the El Gouna Green Star Award.
Marianne Khoury, Artistic Director of GFF, expressed her enthusiasm, stating, "Each year, we're captivated by the creativity and passion showcased by filmmakers.” Emphasising the extraordinary surge in submissions, she further noted, "Our film submissions have seen a remarkable rise, climbing from around 400 in 2017 to over 1400 entries in 2023.
