أعلنت إدارة مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي، اختيار الفيلم المصري "عيسى" للمشاركة في مسابقة الفيلم القصير ضمن فعاليات الدورة الـ 45، التي من المقرر أن تنطلق خلال الفترة من 15 إلى 24 نوفمبر 2023 بدار الأوبرا المصرية.
والفيلم يُعرض لأول مرة في الشرق الأوسط وشمال أفريقيا، عقب مشاركته في مسابقة أسبوع النقاد بمهرجان كان السينمائي الدولي، والفيلم من إخراج مراد مصطفي، ويقوم ببطولة الفيلم كيني مارسيلينو وكنزي محمد، مدير تصوير مصطفى الكاشف، مونتاج محمد ممدوح، سيناريو مراد مصطفى وسوسن يوسف، والفيلم إنتاج مصري فرنسى مشترك بين شركة بونانزا فيلمز للمنتجة سوسن يوسف والمنتجة الفرنسية مارجو لورييه وشركة ريد ستار وسي سينما وشيفت أستديوز وفيلم كلينك ويقوم بالتوزيع الدولى للفيلم شركة H264.
وتدور أحداث فيلم عيسى من خلال مهاجر إفريقي في مصر يبلغ من العمر 17 عامًا، يحاول أن يسابق الوقت بعد حادث عنيف لإنقاذ أحبائه مهما كلفه الأمر.
وقال المخرج أمير رمسيس مدير مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي: فخور باختيار أول الأفلام المصرية لمهرجان القاهرة لهذا العام بعد سنوات من متابعة مشوار المخرج المتميز مراد مصطفى ووصوله لمسابقة أسبوع النقاد بمهرجان كان.. سعيد بأننا نحتفي بنجاح هذا الفيلم المتميز.
وأضاف مخرج الفيلم مراد مصطفي: سعيد جدا بمشاركة الفيلم في مهرجان القاهرة الذي أعود له مجدد هذا العام بعد 3 سنوات منذ عرض أول أفلامي "حنة ورد" به، ومهرجان القاهرة بالنسبة لي المهرجان الأول الذي حضرته في حياتي في فترة المراهقة لمشاهدة الأفلام الدولية وشرف لأي مخرج أن يختار فيلمه ليعرض وسط هذا الجمهور المتميز الذي يملأ قاعات السينما وهو يحمل شغف المشاهدة.
وسبق وأعلنت إدارة المهرجان عن فتح باب التقديم لمشروعات الأفلام في النسخة العاشرة من ملتقى القاهرة السينمائي، ضمن فعاليات دورته الـ 45 ويمكن لصناع السينما التقدم بمشروعاتهم وأفلامهم في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج بداية من الأحد 7 مايو وحتي الجمعة 7 أغسطس.
ومهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي هو أحد أعرق المهرجانات في العالم العربي وإفريقيا والأكثر انتظاماً، ينفرد بكونه المهرجان الوحيد في المنطقة العربية والأفريقية المسجل ضمن الفئة A في الاتحاد الدولي للمنتجين في باريس (FIAPF).

.Cairo International Film Festival chooses "Issa" in the short film competition

Cairo International Film Festival management announced selecting Egyptian short film “Issa” to participate in the short film competition within activities of 45th edition, which is scheduled to start from November 15 to 24, 2023, at Cairo Opera House.
The film shall be shown for the first time in the Middle East and North Africa, after its participation in Critics’ Week competition at Cannes International Film Festival. "Issa" is directed by Mourad Mostafa, starring Kenny Marcelino and Kenzi Mohamed, director of photography Mustafa Al-Kashef, edited by Mohamed Mamdouh, screenplay by Mourad Mostafa and Sawsan Youssef.
The film is an Egyptian-French joint production between Bonanza Films, producer Sawsan Youssef, French producer Margot Laurier, Red Star, Sea Cinema, Shift Studios and Film Clinic. The film is distributed internationally by H264.
Issa, a 17-year-old African immigrant in Egypt, tries to race against time after a violent accident, to save his loved ones, no matter what.
Director Amir Ramses, director of Cairo International Film Festival, said: We are proud of selecting the first Egyptian film for this year's Cairo Festival, after years of following the distinguished director Mourad Mostafa's journey, amazingly followed recently by the movie reaching Critics' Week competition at the Cannes Festival. I
am happy that we are celebrating the success of this distinguished film.
Murad Moustafa, the director of the film, added: I am very glad that "Issa" is participating in upcoming edition of
Cairo International Film Festival, which I will return to again this year after 3 years since screening of my first film, “Hennat Ward” in its 42nd edition. Especially that Cairo International Film Festival holds dear and vital importance to me, being the first festival that I attended in my life as a teenager to watch international films. It is definitely an honor for any director that his film is selected to be shown among this distinguished audience that crowds cinema halls with a great passion for watching rather amazing movies.
CIFF management has previously announced opening submissions for film projects in tenth edition of the Cairo Film Forum, as part of the activities of its 45th session. Filmmakers can submit their projects and films in post-production, starting from Sunday, May 7, until Friday, August 7.
Cairo International Film Festival is one of the oldest and most regular festivals in the Arab world and Africa, privileged of being the only festival in Arab and African region registered under Category A at International Federation of Producers in Paris (FIAPF).
