يستعد رئيس مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي حسين فهمي ومدير المهرجان أمير رمسيس للسفر للمشاركة في أكثر من فعالية خلال مهرجان كان وكذلك سوق الفيلم Marche du film.
أولى مشاركات "القاهرة السينمائي" بمهرجان كان هذا العام من خلال مبادرة fantastic 7 السنوية والمخصصة لأفلام النوع، حيث يشارك المهرجان بترشيح فيلم "الملجأ" للمخرج المغربي طلال سلهامي، وهو في مرحلة ما بعد الإنتاج ليعرض خلال فعاليات المبادرة.
كما يشارك مهرجان القاهرة بورشة معنية بالصحة النفسية للعاملين في المهرجانات السينمائية وتوفير بيئة صحية لهم بمشاركة Sane cine وfestival hub.
كما يشارك القاهرة السينمائي للمرة الأولى هذا العام بحفل استقبال بمشاركة عدد من كبرى المهرجانات في إطار سوق الفيلم Marche du film بغرض الترويج للمهرجان في حضور عدد من أهم كوادر التوزيع والإنتاج في العالم وذلك يوم 24 مايو، وتعرب إدارة المهرجان عن سعادتها بالشراكات المتعددة التي عقدت مع Festival Hub وMarche du film هذا العام.
وقال الفنان حسين فهمي رئيس المهرجان: فخورون بمشاركتنا رسميا للمرة الأولى في حفل سوق الفيلم مع عدد من المهرجانات الكبرى وكذلك The festival hub ونأمل في أن تكون نواة لتواجد رسمي أكبر للمهرجان في الدورات القادمة.
وأضاف المخرج أمير رمسيس مدير المهرجان: المشاركة في فعالية fantastic 7 هي خطوة مهمة جدا لإثراء سينما النوع بالعالم العربي في ظل الاهتمام الأكبر بسينما المؤلف في المهرجانات .. وكذلك مشاركتنا في ورشة الصحة النفسية للعاملين بالمهرجانات هي جزء من إيماننا بالتغيرات الجديدة والمشاكل التي تنشأ في هذا المجال.
وأعلنت إدارة مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي عن فتح باب التسجيل للأفلام الراغبة بالمشاركة في فعاليات دورته الـ45 التي تقام في الفترة من من 15 إلى 24 نوفمبر المقبل بدار الأوبرا المصرية، وبدأ استقبال طلبات الأفلام من جميع أنحاء العالم من 15 أبريل 2023 ويستمر حتى 1 أغسطس 2023 عبر الموقع الرسمي للمهرجان.
ويعدّ مهرجان القاهرة السينمائي الدولي أعرق المهرجانات في العالم العربي وإفريقيا والأكثر انتظاماً، وينفرد بكونه المهرجان الوحيد في المنطقة العربية والإفريقية المسجل ضمن الفئة A في الاتحاد الدولي للمنتجين في باريس (FIAPF).

Cairo International Film Festival (CIFF) is participating in three events that will be held as part of the upcoming Cannes Film Festival taking place between 16 and 27 May.
CIFF president Hussein Fahmy and the CIFF director Amir Ramses will travel to the French city to represent the festival at the Cannes Film Market (“Marché du Film”) - (16-24 May).
On Sunday 21 May, CIFF is presenting and endorsing director’s Talal Selhami’s under-production film ‘The Shelter,’ as part of the Cannes Film Market’s Fantastic 7 initiative.
On Wednesday 24 May, CIFF - in cooperation with WorkPlace Options and Sane Cinema- will support a workshop titled ‘Prioritizing Wellbeing at Work: Sparking the Conversation amongst Festivals,’ as part of the Festivals Hub activities.
In association with the Festivals Hub , CIFF is supporting this year’s ‘Festivals Mixer’ networking event- that will be held also on Wednesday 24- where some of the world’s most prestigious festival representatives, filmmakers, producers and distributors are gathering to connect with other festivals and markets.
“We are proud for CIFF’s first official partnership with the Festival Hub’s networking event. We are looking forward for further cooperation in the upcoming editions,” stated the CIFF president Hussein Fahmy.
The festival director Amir Ramses said that “the partnership with Fantastic 7 is a very important step that aims to enrich genre cinema in the Arab World, especially as international festivals are focusing on author’s films”.
“Our partnership in the festivals’ industry workshop for wellbeing reflects our mission to search for solutions for the current challenges and to create a healthier work environment,” he added.
Festivals Hub is an exclusive program and venue within the Cannes Film Market, specifically designed to welcome and connect festival and market directors, programmers & industry leaders.
CIFF has recently opened submission for the upcoming 45th edition (15-24 November). The submission process is officially open to requests from all over the world starting from 15 April 2023 until August 1 2023 through festival’s official website. www.ciff.org.eg
