يسعد مهرجان الجونة السينمائي فتح باب تقديم الأفلام الراغبة في الاشتراك في برنامج دورته السادسة التي ستقام في الفترة ما بين 12-20 أكتوبر/تشرين الأول 2023 في مدينة الجونة الشهيرة بجمالها وتطورها ودعمها الدائم لمشهد الثقافة والفنون.
يقدم المهرجان، الذي يعمل كمنصة لعرض أفضل الأعمال السينمائية، مزيجًا متوازنًا من العروض الأولى والمسابقات الدولية والعروض الموسيقية الحية وعروض السجادة الحمراء التي يحضرها ألمع نجوم وصناع السينما والصحفيين والإعلاميين ومحبي السينما من جميع أنحاء العالم.
قال مدير المهرجان انتشال التميمي: "يساور مهرجان الجونة السينمائي شيئًا من الاعتزاز، لتمكّنه منذ دورته الأولى، من تشكيل برنامج سينمائي متماسك ومتنوع، استطاع من خلاله المحافظة، طوال الدورات الخمس، على الصدارة في استقطاب أهم الأفلام السينمائية، وهذا ما جعله يرضي الجمهور والنقّاد، ويفوز بتقييماتهم العالية وثنائهم".
تتنافس الأفلام المختارة على جوائز نجمة الجونة وجوائز نقدية بإجمالي 234,000 دولار أمريكي من خلال مسابقة الأفلام الروائية الطويلة أو مسابقة الأفلام الوثائقية الطويلة أو مسابقة الأفلام القصيرة. بينما ستكون الأفلام ذات الطابع الإنساني مؤهلة للمنافسة على جائزة الجمهور "سينما من أجل الإنسانية"، في حين ستكون الأفلام التي تتبادل المعرفة و/أو تزيد الوعي حول القضايا المتعلقة بالبيئة أو الحياة البرية، مؤهلة لجائزة نجمة الجونة الخضراء. إضافة إلى ذلك، يستمر المهرجان في استضافة لجنتي تحكيم الفيبريسي (الاتحاد الدولي للصحافة السينمائية) ونيتباك (منظمة ترويج السينما الآسيوية)
على مدار الأعوام الخمسة السابقة، توطدت علاقة المهرجان بمحيطه الطبيعي من خلال الثقة المتعاظمة التي يوليها الوسط السينمائي من مخرجين ومنتجين وموزعين ومحترفي الصناعة السينمائية، إضافة إلى ازدياد عدد السينمائيين الذين يتقدمون بأفلامهم عامًا تلو الآخر. تلك الأفلام مضافًا إليها الأفلام المختارة من المهرجانات السينمائية العالمية تقدم وجبة سينمائية فريدة تعد هي حجر الزاوية لنجاح المهرجان ونمو تأثيره السينمائي.

.El Gouna Film Festival Calls for Film Submissions for its 6th Edition
El Gouna Film Festival (GFF) is now accepting submissions for its 6th edition that is scheduled to take place from October 12 to 20, 2023, in El Gouna, that is known not only for its beauty and progressiveness but also for its strong support of the arts and creativity.
Recognised as a showcase for the finest cinematic works, El Gouna Film Festival presents a balanced combination of premieres, international competitions, live music shows and star-studded red carpets and is attended, encouraged and supported by film industry, media professionals and film lovers from around the world.
Festival Director Intishal Al Timimi commented, “The El Gouna Film Festival is pleased that it has been able, since its inception in 2017, to present an exciting, coherent and diverse cinematic program, a practice it has continued to follow through the subsequent years and editions thereby maintaining its pole position in attracting some of the best cinematic works. This has in turn helped it draw the interest and attention of not only the local audiences but also our industry colleagues from all parts of the world while earning their praise and appreciation”.
Selected films will compete for El Gouna star awards and US $234,000 total cash prize through the festival’s Feature Narrative Competition, Feature Documentary Competition, or Short Film Competition Films with a humanitarian theme will be eligible to compete for the Cinema for Humanity Audience Award, while films that share knowledge and/or raise awareness on issues related to the environment, ecology or wildlife, as well as their sustainability and importance will be considered for El Gouna Green Star Award. In addition, GFF will continue to host the FIPRESCI as well as NETPAC juries.
